La Xixa is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2010 with a focus on social transformation through workshops with theatrical tools and popular education.

We work with different communities at a local, European and international level with projects related to education, health, culture, sustainability and activism. The projects are developed around five main ideas: active citizenship, interculturality and social inclusion, education and prevention of risky behaviors among young people, equality and sexual diversity and sustainability

Our methodology is based on some axes. The Process-Oriented Psychology offers tools to learn how to change the way we perceive and live the experiences and facilitates individual and collective transformation.

The Theater of the Oppressed analizes through theater the abuses of power and it’s focused on education and giving collective empowerment. The Artistic Mediation and the Participatory methodologies are also fundamental in the methodology and the process of individual and collective transformation. We deeply believe that education during our lifes is key for achieving a more equal world.

From an intersectional perspective we are against all types of discrimination regardless of age, gender or origins. We systematize all the experiences while creating practical materials and educational resources for free. In our website you can find more information about the materials and our main purpose!
