The UPV/EHU, founded in 1980, is a public research university which sets out to create knowledge and convey it to society amid an intense process of globalisation, which is compatible with close links to Basque culture. Its goals are magnificently symbolised in the logo devised by the great artist Eduardo Chillida, along with a verse from “Gernikako arbola” (The Tree of Gernika), a song by 19th century bard José María de Iparraguirre: EMAN TA ZABAL ZAZU (MUNDUAN FRUITUA) Give and transmit (your fruit to the world).

The colleagues who make up the SUSIEE team from this university work within the Faculty of Education in Bilbao. Here you can find part of the SUSIEE working team at UPV/EHU:

This Faculty currently offers Bachelor’s Degrees in Primary Education, Trilingual Primary Education, Infant Education, Trilingual Infant Education and Social Education. There is also a broad catalogue of Master's Degrees and Post-Graduate programmes that encourage both the training and development of future researchers in education, such as the ongoing training of professionals.

It should be noted that this project, at the same time, is part of the work carried out by the consolidated research team Kide On, we research into Social and Educational Inclusion. We understand that SUSIEE project is much more than a research project in which we try to identify new itineraries to work a quality ECEC taking sustainability and interculturality as the backbone, we believe that it is a great opportunity to continue learning as a team and to transfer to our classrooms (Research - Teaching - Transfer connection) what we are generating together. Here we can see an example of one of the actions carried out in the Faculty:

Fellow consortium members, it is a pleasure to walk this path with all of you, we will continue to learn and create knowledge together.
