Susiee Pilots in Palermo, Italy!

Updated: Nov 25, 2024

The SUSIEE method pilot projects have officially launched, starting with the first training session in Palermo on November 15th. CESIE ETS and Naturalmente APS hosted the session, which focused on "Experiential Sustainability and Interculturality." Early childhood educators gathered to explore themes such as interculturality, intersectionality and sustainability through interactive and innovative methodologies.

Using tools like Critical Incident Educational Theatre and improvisation, participants actively engaged with these concepts, creating opportunities for reflection and collaborative learning. The training provided educators with practical approaches to integrate these themes into their work, fostering a deeper understanding of their relevance in early childhood education.

Participants particularly valued the chance to experiment with the SUSIEE methodology in a hands-on setting. Their feedback has been essential in identifying the most effective approaches, ensuring that the method continues to evolve and improve.

This pilot marks the beginning of an international journey, with similar initiatives taking place in other partner countries. The collective effort among organizations aims to adapt the SUSIEE method to diverse educational and cultural contexts, creating a comprehensive and inclusive framework for early childhood education.
